Edda kino – Hall 1, 6 & 7

Edda kino is Haugalandet’s largest cinema center with a capacity of 896 seats spread over seven screens. Five of the seven screens have a comfort or premium concept. Edda 1, 6 and 7 are new screens in 2024.

Skeie had the honor of delivering chairs from our partner Atom for the new screens 6, 7 and for upgrading screen 1. Several variants of their model Atom Neon was delivered to Edda. Both gliders, recliners and daybeds were included in the delivery. Exciting color choices and elements of textile have produced an exciting and great result.

Edda cinema runs its own kiosk and hires out for courses and conferences, as well as cinema birthday parties. You can also rent your own cinema from them. The cinema is open every day throughout the year, except Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. They have between 8 and 15 screenings every day.

In addition to the halls, the cinema houses a large foyer, cinema bar, offices and kiosk. In the spring of 2024, the cinema also got its own kitchen and the opportunity to serve food for courses and conferences during the day, as well as for events connected to cinema screenings in the evening.

The Norwegian film festival is every year in August and spans for nine days. Edda has been the main venue for the Norwegian Film Festival in 1979, 1981, 1984, 1985 and annually since 1987.

The cinema is a municipal enterprise together with Festiviteten, owned by Haugesund municipality.

The cinema became an environmental beacon in 2017 and is certified as a Green Conference since January 2024.
